Technique Lessons

What are technique lessons?

Technique lessons are held every Sunday, and are intended to review the dances and moves that you learn during Beginner lessons. They are taught by our coach Dana A. Edwards, a retired American and Canadian/American professional American Smooth and Rhythm Champion.

1-2 PM: Pre-silver

A higher-level lesson, catered to Full-Bronze and Silver level dancers. This lesson will introduce high-level moves in the bronze syllabus and prepare members to compete at a Silver level by introducing basic silver technique and moves. While not catered to them, beginner dancers are permitted to sit in on these lessons and see what they could be learning in the future.

2-3 PM: Technique

Open to any member who has attended one of the Beginner lessons the week before. In this lesson, Dana will cover technique for the basic movements in each dance and answer questions.

3-4 PM: Bronze

Bronze will cover new steps and more advanced technique. This lesson will also help prepare you to compete at a Bronze level or simply increase your dance knowledge.
